Take Action Through Charity Work
Children International fights global poverty by focusing on four key areas: health, education, empowerment and employment. Take action by sponsoring a child in need. Food for the Poor champions for the for the poorest of the poor in the Caribbean and Latin America at the individual, family and community level. Take action by funding gifts such as goats, chickens, kerosene lamps, school supplies, clothes and water pumps. I Support the Girls Whether they be homeless, refugees, in transitional housing, or fleeing domestic violence, women and girls should never have to compromise on dignity. Take action by collecting donations of new and gently used bras, and individually sealed sanitary hygiene products to be distributed to women and girls nationally and internationally. Days for Girls - Club DfG Take action by starting a school or community club to empower girls and women, foster education, leadership and dignity while serving the local and international community. Girl Up is a global movement of empowered young women leaders who defend gender equality. Through leadership development training, Girl Up gives girls the resources and platform to start a movement for social change wherever they are. Take action by defending gender equality in high need countries through advocating, fundraising and leadership. Students Helping Honduras works to alleviate extreme poverty and violence in Honduras through education and youth empowerment. Take action by joining or starting an SHH chapter, fundraising to build a school, or going on a service trip to Honduras.
Peace is Possible mobilizes young people worldwide to create awareness, advocate, take action and commit to an everlasting world peace. Take action through these activities, guides and toolkits. World Cleanup Day unites volunteers and partners worldwide to rid our planet of trash. Take action by cleaning up litter and mismanaged waste from our beaches, rivers, forests, and streets. This event occurs once a year in September. Let's do it! |
UN SDGs Be the Change Initiative provides ideas for all of us to “walk the talk” when it comes to the SDGs. This Initiative guides and encourages us to live more sustainable at work and at home by changing our consumption patterns, using active transport such as cycling, and buying local foods. Take Action by Applying for a Grant to Support Students in Need
The Cruise Industry Charitable Foundation supports PreK-12 educational programs that meet the needs of economically disadvantaged populations, such as at-risk and special needs students. Grants range from $2,500 to $15,000 and are awarded annually. |
